Chief Solomon Chukwu, the Otun Amuludun of Orile Agege, is the chairman Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Political Forum Lagos state, a philanthropist, and a detribalized business man attributed the success recorded in the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Political Forum, Women Wing, to the trustworthiness exemplified by High Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene, the able Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo State president, insisting that trust brings huge gathering in all Political groups. He also promised to give free GCE forms to four students from all the local governments and LCDAs, though he has been giving but just included Ohanaeze Women in Politics.
Chief Chukwu, can you tell us what happened today at Lagos State Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo, strongly led by High Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene?
We just inaugurated the Executives of Women Wing of Ohanaeze Political Forum.
You mentioned governor Sanwo-Olu’s giant stride in Lagos State in the course of your speech in the programme, why?
This is a political forum and when you talk about politics, you need to talk about the serving and elected government office holders, who are in government, that is why you heard their names been mentioned. It’s not a government programme though; it is a socio-cultural programme, of the Igbo extraction under the umbrella of the Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Women Wing.
After concluding the inauguration of Executives in all the Local Government Areas and Local Community Development Areas in Lagos, what is your advice to them?
My advice to the women who are just inaugurated today from the 57 Local Government Development Areas in Lagos state, the EXCOs are to go on to mobilize their members, friends and families, let them spread the news of politics to them and the essence of coming together.
Will you fulfill your promise to assist with free General Certificate of Education Forms, and what inspired you to do this?
What inspired me is because I believe that education is the best legacy one can give to people and without the children going to school, they will not be able to know their right from their left, and uninformed person is a deformed person. So I want our children to go to school, so that they can be empowered by the knowledge of major success and that is why I took the decision. I have been doing it for the past years now. I have been buying forms since 10 Years for the less privileged in the society. So, I just included the Women Wing of the Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo into that today.
Looking at what happened today, it recorded a huge success what do you think attracted Women from all the Local government to come here?
I think the answer is that our leader, Chief Solomon Ogbonna Aguene is a leader we can trust, and trust is what brings followership, because we can trust him that is why you can see people from all walks of life coming to identify with him. So trust is the essence of this gathering.
With your commitment and the promises you are making, it appears you support the ruling party.
For me, I supported the ruling party and I will keep on supporting them, I served as the Director Ethnic Group in the immediate past Campaign of Sanwo-Olu and Tinubu and I believe they will deliver and take Nigeria to the greatest height.
