You’re a member of the ministry, can you introduce yourself?
My name is Engineer George E. I am a member of this great commission, I am also a member of the Laughter 2023 planning committee, and I am the secretary to the Laughter Planning Committee.
Laughter is an annual event of the ministry, something peculiar happened in last year’s Laughter, Pastor Nick saw what happened this year, what is your evaluation of his accuracy in prophesying?
The accuracy of Pastor Nick can be evaluated based on what we are experiencing now in the Laughter programme for last year which was not as beautiful as this 2023. To be sincere, God moved more in this year’s Laughter, starting from the 22nd of October, Sunday to this very moment, this is the greatest Laughter programme that this church has ever had in the history of time.
Lots of testimonies were shared to the glory of God in PCM, but the most striking was that Pastor Nick was called to America for prayer for couples, which he started in Nigeria and they started observing miracles and called him to come personally. Eventually, he traveled and broke the yoke of stagnation, what is your take?
Thank you very much, now, I tell people, I borrow this saying from my father in the Lord, we have age mates but we don’t have grace mates. Now, when the grace of God is upon a man of God, upon his servants, he would be looked for anywhere in the world just like a touch light, people will start to look for him because he carries the grace, and he carries the mandate from heaven, and the major mandate that this man of God is carrying, the mandate given to him by God is to make people prosper, he has the mandate of progress over his life and God has commissioned him to the world, any where he goes, preach the prosperity into the body, soul, and spirit of people. They will prosper physically, prosper spiritually, and health-wise. The major reason they are looking for Pastor Nick even in America and other parts of the world and Nigeria is because the grace of God has rested on him.
Laughter is ongoing; you can see excitement of people, out bust of congregation, what are the major reasons for the outburst of congregation?
Fine, simply put, the major reason is that God is at work firstly, then secondly, we have our own physical planning that we put in place before the programme started. The planning committee came together with the workers of the church and we sat down and said, how can we make this year’s Laughter better than what it used to be in the past? We have both ideas and now we leveraged what is available in the land now. We leveraged what is obtainable in the country right now.
Now you can bear me witness, you are in Nigeria, I am also a Nigerian, as I speak to you right now, and there is hunger in the land which is affecting both the old and young, affecting both the middle age class and even the children. So we leveraged this pandemic called hunger and decided to use this opportunity, now to attract people into the church by telling them that, come to the church, we have food to give to them.
As a church, were you able to fulfill the promise?
Yes, starting from Monday 23rd to Thursday, October 2023, after every service, we were sharing foods, we were sharing rice, yam, and other items. People that came from a particular home went home and told their friends and neighbours, and said something was happening in Pentecostal Canaanland Mission (PCM), they brought them, so that was how we began to see the outbursting of the crowd that we saw now.
Pastor is a man of God, still a human being, what is your word of advice and encouragement to him?
I am bold to say that Pastor Nick, you are talking about is a man who loves God, he is a man who appreciates people, I am bold to say that because I am a beneficiary of his magnanimity, he is a grateful and appreciative of people. If he gives you an assignment and sees what God is doing in your, he will appreciate your physical effort both physical and spiritual. He transforms God’s grace upon the person’s life and sees what to do to ensure that the person’s life is better.
