In a grand celebration, Alaba International Market, the largest electronics market in West Africa, marked its third anniversary of the leadership of High Chief Dr. Camilus Nnamdi Amajuoyi (Uzochukwuwara) as the President of Alaba International Market Association – Electronic, Ojo, Lagos. The event, held in partnership with Kingdom Christian Market, was themed “In His Power and Authority” (Psalm 110:1-3) and featured a powerful service led by Pastor Onyebuchi.

The celebration was attended by dignitaries, including the Area Commander of Area E, ACP Eburuja Nwachukwu, the Divisional Police Officer of Ojo, the Commandant of Ojo Cantonement, and other well-wishers. In his address, High Chief Dr. Camilus Nnamdi Amajuoyi (Uzochukwuwara) reflected on the achievements of his administration and outlined the vision for the future of Alaba International Market.

It was a day of celebration and gratitude at Alaba International Market as the leadership and members of the market gathered to mark the third anniversary of the presidency of High Chief Dr. Camilus Nnamdi Amajuoyi (Uzochukwuwara). The event was a testament to the power of vision, leadership, and collaboration.

In an interview with Pastor Ezeani Theodore, the Public Relations Officer of Alaba International Market Association – Electronic, he highlighted the achievements of the administration, including the construction of a modern drainage system, installation of solar power, and the acquisition of a fire-truck to curb fire outbreaks. He also appealed to the Federal Government to grant OON honours to the founders of Alaba International Market for their contributions to nation-building.

When asked about the purpose of the gathering, Pastor Ezeani Theodore said, “We are marking three years in office to appreciate God’s favours, support for the journey so far, and ask Him to give us the strength to end well and those that supported us.”

On the issue of federal government support, he emphasized the need for policies to restrict foreign companies from setting up competing outlets in Nigeria after collecting taxes. He also requested soft loans for genuine traders to boost employment and grow the economy.

On the state of the roads leading to Alaba International Market, Pastor Ezeani Theodore expressed concern about the bad roads, citing instances of container accidents and the need for urgent repair. He disclosed that the Lagos State Deputy Governor, Hon. Hamzat, had promised to fix the roads.

When asked about the achievements of the administration, Pastor Ezeani Theodore said, “We have a lot of achievements to show instead of telling. Before now, when it rains, we have flood damaging people’s goods, but our administration mapped out a lot of money to stop the menace. We have constructed a very good drainage system to ensure that our drainage system is excellent, and traders are enjoying it today.”

He also highlighted the installation of solar power, which has helped to avert fire disasters, and the acquisition of a fire-truck to curb fire outbreaks. Additionally, he mentioned the construction of a clinic for emergency care and the renovation of dilapidated buildings.

On the future plans of the administration, Pastor Ezeani Theodore said, “The president has completed his agenda within one year, and other things he will do is only additional plus. That is his prerogative to discuss with the executives council.”

The event was a huge success, with attendees showering encomiums on High Chief Dr. Camilus Nnamdi Amajuoyi (Uzochukwuwara) for his vision, leadership, and dedication to the growth and development of Alaba International Market.
