Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests, and beloved sons and daughters of Igbo across the world, we gather today to celebrate an extraordinary vision brought to life by His Excellence Eze Ambassador Nicholas Emenike Njoku Eziokwu bu Ndu I of Abazu (Eze Ohazuru-mee of Ejigbo LCDA Lagos state)

From the moment he conceived the idea of a permanent Igbo Language School, Eze Njoku has turned dreams into concrete reality. On 15 November 2025, he opened the doors of the new permanent site of Igbo Language School at Ndigbo & Ezikowu bu Ndu Palace in Ejigbo, Lagos. The event attracted Igbo leaders, dignitaries from other tribes, and friends from every corner of the globe, all united in admiration of his unwavering commitment to preserving Igbo language, culture, and heritage. Eze Nicholas Emenike Njoku is a visionary leader who is turning Igbo language and culture into a global legacy.
What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the personal sacrifice behind it. Eze Njoku has funded the rent of two teaching sites, paid the salaries of dedicated teachers, provided uniforms, and supplied authentic Igbo costumes for the students—all from his own resources. As a successful international businessman who manages a portfolio of investments, he could have chosen any path, but he chose to invest his time, talent, and treasure in the future of Ndigbo across the globe.
The vision does not stop at the walls of the school. Through Ulo Nmuta Omenala Na Asusu Igbo TV, lessons are to be streamed live to viewers in Lagos, London, New York, and beyond, ensuring that Igbo language and culture are accessible to anyone with an internet connection. Plans are already underway to expand the curriculum to other local governments, acquire modern teaching aids, and launch a robust online platform that will serve Igbo learners everywhere.
Eze Njoku’s leadership style is rooted in humility and inclusivity. During the recent Iwa‑Iji (New Yam) Festival, he opened the cutting of the yam to friends from other tribes, demonstrating that our culture is a gift to be shared, not a relic to be hoarded. His hospitality, generosity, and vision have set a powerful example of what it means to be a true Eze—a servant‑leader who puts the community above self.
