In a resounding endorsement of the power of peace and women’s empowerment, Barrister David Adinoye Seidu, a distinguished lawyer and conflict resolution expert, has been appointed a new ambassador of peace by the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) Lagos state chapter. This prestigious recognition comes as the world celebrates the 2026 International Women’s Day, with the theme ‘GIVE and GAIN’.
Barrister Seidu, a stalwart advocate for peace and harmony, was drawn to IAWPA’s mission because of its unwavering commitment to promoting humanity. “Peace is something as human we are expected to pursue… I’ve been craving to be a peace ambassador, and I’m happy I was appointed,” he says, echoing the sentiments of many who’ve witnessed his tireless efforts in conflict resolution.
As a seasoned lawyer, Barrister Seidu’s duties often involve mediating disputes and finding amicable solutions. His passion for peace is matched only by his dedication to empowering women, whom he believes are an integral part of society. “Women are able-bodied, smart, and powerful,” he emphasizes. “We must recognize their importance and abilities, and work towards creating a more inclusive and equitable world.”
