Police detectives in Lagos have apprehended a lady and his brother over alleged robbery of three iPhones and bitcoins worth about N15 million.
Similarly, two suspected armed robbers are now in police net over alleged possession of one automatic pistol and five live ammunition.
According to report, the lady identified as one Emmanuella Ogochukwu, 25, her brother named Ogbuka Tochukwu and others at large conspired and robbed Emmanuella’s boyfriend of the items and money.
The Lagos State Police Command Spokesperson CSP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the reports in a release at the weekend.
It reads, “The complainant one (name withheld) alleged that his girlfriend one Emmanuella Ogochukwu “f” 25yrs conspired with her brother and his friends to rob him of three iPhones and bitcoins worth about 15million Naira.
“Upon the receipt of the casefile and following the confessional statement of Emmanuella Ogochukwu “f”, one Ogbuka Tochukwu “m” 22yrs a younger brother to Emmanuella Ogochukwu “f” was trailed and arrested by the operatives of the Command.
“Both of them confessed to the crime. All the complainant’s robbed phones and sum of N6.5m were recovered and have been registered with the exhibit keeper.
“Investigation is still ongoing to arrest the other wanted members of the gang.”
In the same vein, the two others were said to have been arrested by police operatives at Sangotedo along Lekki-Epe expressway at about 4.00am on Friday while on early hour patrol.
An automatic pistol and five live ammunition were said to have been recovered from the suspects identified as Emmanuel Cletus, 32 and Adegor Joshua, 27.
Hundeyin, while confirming the report said the are being investigated for possible prosecution.
