Today is a remarkable day in the history of the Pentecostal Canaanland Mission (PCM), can you introduce yourself and the role you played in ensuring the huge success of this programme?

My name is Deacon Monday O., and I am the chairman of the Planning Committee for Laughter and the laughter programme comes every year in the month of October. It’s like a week programme and we thank God mightily for what he has been doing for us and also thank him for what He will do for us. And today marks the climax, it will not be the end of Laughter, the end of Laughter programme will not be the end of Laughter in our lives.

The Laughter will continue in our lives until the next Laughter in 2024, to still thank God for what he is doing in our lives, and you know God is taking us to many places. God is going to increase the church. As many invitees that came here, most of them will continue to worship with us, and we pray that God is going to establish them, for the church to grow higher and higher. That is what we pray in Jesus Christ’s name.

It’s very clear that this year’s Laughter attracted lots of people, that the church has outburst, what is attributed to the huge congregation?

We said this year we were going to invite as many as possible, and we used handbills and billboards, so many people were able to see it. We did some rallies around, and people honoured us and were present in the Laughter programme today, and even during the work from Monday to Thursday, we said that we were going to share palliatives to every 300 people that came and people that came and received the palliatives after prayers. They went and told others, see we have received it, they actually fulfilled their promises, we give God all the glory, and that is the overflow you are seeing and we know that God will help us to continue it and fill that gap which we have promised to do.

What inspired adding palliatives since it is a ministry and not a political party?

We see that you bring people to church and they will stay from morning to night without food or something to enter their mouth, if they don’t see food to eat, they will feel sad because when they hear the word of God, they still need a physical food for strength, we decided that they will go back with food to eat, especially the poorest among them, they have to cook and eat at home.

As the chairman, the huge success recorded is not only attributed to you who are your supporters?

Yes, many people supported in prayers, pastors, prayer warriors, members of the planning committees, all the church workers, we all sat down and brought ideas together and put all these things together, and with prayers and God answered us. And we were able to fulfill all this, so all members of PCM have been involved particularly the pastors, the associate pastors, the workers, members of the planning committee, they put in their best, for a week now, they have been coming here and very punctual and even were on Friday when we had the ‘Suya Night’ they were all busy throughout even as of today they were all busy throughout to ensure that we have a very successful Laughter programme, thank God for using them.

From the way you sound, you are not a newcomer, how long have you been in this ministry, and why staying in the ministry?

I have been in the ministry for over 18 -20 years now. The Lord has been good to me and my family, and I can see what God is doing in the ministry, in this commission, God has been helping us, and since I am the chairman of this planning committee, I ensured we have a very successful Laughter in planning, execution and everything and God has been helping us.

What makes Pastor Nick unique among other pastors you have come across before coming to the ministry?

What makes him unique is that he doesn’t boost, he humbles himself, he puts his trust in God, he doesn’t say what God does not say, he says what God asked him to say. We so much believe him, whatsoever prophesy he releases, once it came from him, it will come to pass. Prophesies he gave to members always manifest. And Pastor Nick attributes the glory to God, he’s just the servant of God. If another man of God comes, they will still say the same prophecies he sees in the congregation’s lives.

What is your wish for him?

I pray for a fresh anointing and any time he says in the Pulpit, I pray for an open door, he will never struggle for the word of God.
