Good afternoon sir, great to be in Laughter 2023, can you introduce yourself?
Good afternoon. I am Mr. Onyebuchi Cletus Umewa, I am a full member of Pentecostal Canaanland Mission (PCM. I have been a member for 12 years now.
What is unique about this Laughter?
Okay, the programme called Laughter has been a unique programme ever since I joined this ministry; it’s a kind of Shiloh for our ministry, so we celebrate it every October of the year. From my own experience, it has been amazing, soul transformational, and changing the lives of people, it has been a programme that generates testimonies; this programme is just for us to praise, thank and ask for more grace from God. And it is yielding results to the glory of his name; we return all glory for all he has done for us over the years.
With the huge number of churches and ministries in Lagos State, what has kept you worshipping with the Pentecostal Canaanland Mission (PCM)?
I must say every person needs to know his prophet or his pastor. I am not just a churchgoer, the thing that keeps me here is the man of God that I am under his canopy. He has been a different person totally; I have seen him as a pastor, a prophet, and a counselor, talking about his Spiritual life, he has been a mentor to me of which I have learned a lot and still learning. His simplicity and humility reflect the character of a true man of God among others. So I learn a lot from him, not because he is a pastor, there are pastors everywhere, but this one here is like a daddy to me.
Looking at the trend of things, have you received salvation from the ministry?
Everything in life has time, I think for my level of understanding, I am not here for miracles first, what I am here to seek is salvation first, that is why I am here, the preaching, teaching so I think by the time I grow my faith in God, that miracle will take place as some people think miracle first before salvation.
Now what do you wish and advice to him being a human being?
Yes, I know as human being, he cannot do it alone without the grace of God. From what I have seen, I wish him more grace, and more powerful anointing from the most High and that he would not fall to flesh.
What could make a church give palliatives to the people they prayed for?
That is true, that the ministry gave palliatives, it has been taking place since the programme started, we are not doing it because we are too rich, we are using it to evangelize the work of God and to win more souls to the body of Jesus Christ.
