The new Area Controller of Ogun 1 Area Command, Comptroller James Folorunsho Ojo, has expressed profound gratitude to the Comptroller General of Customs,  BA Adeniyi  MFR dsm fnipr fniia  psc(+), for his recent deployment to the Ogun 1 Area Command and calls for the unflinching support of the management team to sustain the success the Area is known for.

At the handing/taking over ceremony on Tuesday at the CAC conference room, Ogun Area 1 Command, Comptroller Ojo described his deployment as a clarion call to national duty, and promised to discharge his assigned responsibilities to the best of his ability.

He commended his predecessor, Comptroller AB Shuaibu on his successful tour of duty and laudable achievements and promised to sustain the success.

In his speech, he described the occasion as a response to call to duty and honour to the statutory deployment of Area Controllers by the Comptroller General of Customs, BA Adeniyi MFR dsm fnipr fniia psc(+).

In his words, “I express my profound gratitude to God Almighty and the CGC for my deployment as the new Area Controller of Ogun 1 Area Command. It is certainly, a clarion call to national duty, and I shall discharge my assigned responsibilities to the best of my ability.

“I congratulate my predecessor on his successful tour of duty and laudable achievements. My amiable Comptroller, I commend your dedication to duty, commitment, and leadership skill exhibited during your tenure in office. Your contributions have undoubtedly left an indelible mark on this Command, and your guidance has been invaluable. We thank you for your service and wish you the very best in your new assignment.

“Let me use this opportunity to solicit the unflinching support and cooperation of members of the management team and the entire officers and men of Ogun I Command, and our esteemed stakeholders across the border. According to the wise saying, “a tree cannot make a forest”. I appreciate team work and my door is widely open for consultation.

“As we witness this transition today, let us reaffirm our collective commitment to the ideals and objectives that define our Command. Let us pledge to work hand in hand, fostering teamwork, communication, and collaboration at every turn.
