 Excerpts:

 Sir, can you introduce yourself?

My name is Comptroller P. K. Bamisaiye, I am here by invitation by our leader, Elder Harrison to join others who were promoted to be celebrated with one of our past leaders, that is Rev. Dr. Soul Yunieus Nzomimbaye, of Integrity Christian Assembly and the reason why we are here is to give God back the glory, for what he has done, that is our promotion.

What has God done, specifically apart from the gift of life and other things. What God has done, that is why we are talking about his benefits,  we, spent so many years on one rank, but today by his grace, God has done it for us through our able Comptroller General of Customs,  Adewale Adeniyi, that is why we are here to give him back all the glory.

 What is your present position?

To God’s glory today, I am elevated from Deputy Comptroller to Comptroller of Nigerian Customs Service. God has done it and I have come to give him all the glory.

You made mention of the Comptroller General of Customs, what have you learnt from him that has aided your growth?

I have learnt so many things from this amiable Comptroller General of Customs, firstly, promptness, when you are due for examination, you can wait for the result one year without any result, but our own is done just two months and it is done with some level of integrity, with transparency, and immediately the results were released, and today we will be having our normal rank. Something that others have not done but he has done it.

You left your church to come and celebrate your promotion at the Integrity Christian Assembly, why the decision?

Infact, we had actually celebrated in our church, we were invited. Infact, I belong to a group that is Nigerian Customs Christian Fellowship, I am the Zonal Co-ordinator for Zone A, so the leaders invited me. That is why I came to give thanks to God.

With your new rank now, what do you intend to do more for NCCF growth?

When you talk of growth, it’s a developmental thing and just to follow the line of our able Comptroller General, Adewale Adeniyi, we will do our best just as he is proactive in doing things. He addresses issues of discipline, issue of promotion, issue of integrity, and every other thing. And you know he is offering the lineage of something we are very happy for, we want to operate on that line too.

You’re qualified academically, professionally and morally, and I believe you must have passed some challenges, how were you able to overcome them, so that young officers can learn from you?

One of the issues is the issue of promotion, like we said earlier, at times, we will spend about 9years on one particular rank, all this things are stopped, I want to follow the trend, by the grace of God,  we also emulate him in all his ways, pro-activeness and in other things.

Your advice to young officers?

Well, my advice to young officers is that they should not be in a hurry. He who laughs last, laughs best, so they should take their time and God almighty in his own time will remember them. Thank you.
