“Today is a momentous occasion for Eze Aloysius Ahize, Ezeugo, Ezendigbo Itire, Ikate Surulere, Lagos State. Today, he is celebrating three momentous events: his birthday, the new yam celebration, and the presentation of awards to distinguished personalities. The three events are deeply symbolic and important, and I am delighted to be here to witness it.”

“My advice to him is that he should persist in his exemplary endeavors. By inviting Igbo personalities and other tribes, business associates, friends, and family, he has demonstrated his capacity for visionary leadership. I encourage him to continue promoting Igbo culture and tradition, and to always remember that our culture and tradition are essential to our identity as Igbo people.”

As an apostle of God, some people may perceive the new yam celebration as being at odds with Christian teachings. How do you respond to this criticism?
“New yam cutting is a celebration of our rich cultural heritage. As an apostle of God, I firmly believe that our culture and tradition are indispensable to our identity as Igbo people. The Bible teaches us to respect and honor our culture and tradition, and I firmly believe that the new yam celebration is a way of doing just that.”
