Comptroller EJ Harrison has taken over as the new Customs Area Comptroller (CAC) of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Command.
According to the Customs Public Relations Officer, (CPRO) MMIA Command, ASC I U Abdul, he was welcomed as the 7th substantive Area Controller on Friday, December 6, 2024.
In her welcome address, Deputy Comptroller in Charge of Administration, DC JJ Madaki who had be,en acting in the role following the retirement of Compt AM Adegbite, expressed that MMIA Command is one of the busiest airports in Nigeria and the West African sub-region.
She described the command as unique in its role of facilitating trade and maximizing revenue.
She noted that the command had surpassed its annual revenue target for 2024 at the end of October through stakeholder engagement and synergy with other government agencies.
She stated that she was able to improve the command’s revenue through stakeholder engagement, maintaining synergy with other government agencies, and the diligence and dedication of the officers in the command.
Comptroller Harrison expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and promised to work closely with the CGC’s three-point agenda.
He assured the officers of his commitment to making the command stand as a model of excellence.
He also advised officers to be more professional, exhibit good conduct, and utilize the NCS Seven Golden Rules when facing challenges
