Prince Ogunmodede Akinloye, a visionary leader and humanitarian, has dedicated his life to promoting peace, unity, and development in Nigeria. As the Founder and Director General of Searchlight Light Community, an operational arm of Searchlight Initiatives for Community Peace Advocacy and Rural Development in Nigeria, he has been instrumental in championing community peace and development. His selfless efforts have earned him recognition and accolades, cementing his position as a leading advocate for community peace and development.

 In a recent gathering at Merian Community Town hall, Prince Ogunmodede Akinloye shared his vision and mission for Searchlight Light Community, highlighting the importance of community-driven initiatives in promoting peace and development.

Prince Ogunmodede Akinloye’s inspiration for forming the association stems from his desire to provide light in darkness, enabling individuals to distinguish between good and bad. He believes that by providing local light, communities can take proactive steps in aborting crime and promoting peace.

With a vision that has been accomplished over 20 years ago, Prince Ogunmodede Akinloye has taken his campaign nationwide, earning recognition in every nook and cranny of Nigeria. His organization has grown from a humble beginning of 16 men to over 38,000 men functioning today.

The purpose of the gathering at Merian Community Town hall was to align activities with peace objectives, carry out assignments and campaigns, and educate people on their rights and responsibilities. Prince Ogunmodede Akinloye emphasized the importance of partnering with various stakeholders, including traditional leaders, community leaders, and law enforcement agencies, to foster community peace and development.

To achieve its objectives, Searchlight Light Community trains its officers through various programs, including the one held at Merian Community Town hall. Prince Ogunmodede Akinloye outlined plans for 2025, which include training over 500 people from Lagos and Ogun states at the Police Training College Ikeja, Lagos.

As a voluntary organization, Searchlight Light Community does not face challenges, instead, it relies on the spirit of dignity and honesty among its members. Prince Ogunmodede Akinloye advised Nigerians to be patriotic, have a spirit of dignity and honesty, and not allow selfish individuals to use them to commit havoc.
