“Good work of Okeowo seen as hallmark of excellent LCDA Chairman”

The good work of the Executive Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA, Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, PhD, is being widely recognized as the hallmark of an excellent LCDA Chairman.
This was further affirmed on Sunday as the Mayor was honoured with an Excellence Award by St. Kizito Catholic Church, Alaba Oro, Lagos, during the Church’s 10th Anniversary and the 2026 Feast Day of its Patron Saint, St. Kizito.
In his appreciation message, Mayor Okeowo said: “I give all glory and thanks to Almighty God for the grace to serve humanity and for the privilege of being honoured.”
He extended sincere appreciation to the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Anthony Adewale Ojo, the leadership and the entire congregation of St. Kizito Catholic Church for finding him worthy of the honour.
“This award is not just a recognition of my efforts, but an encouragement to remain steadfast in my commitment to selfless service, community development and the promotion of peace, unity and religious harmony,” he stated.
The Mayor dedicated the award to the good people of Ifelodun LCDA, noting that their unwavering support continues to inspire his administration.
He reaffirmed his commitment to “building a more prosperous, inclusive and people-oriented Ifelodun” while working with all stakeholders, including faith-based organisations, to advance the collective progress of the community.
