Bishop (Dr.) Chidi Anthony is the General Overseer of Kings in Christ Power Ministries International and the President, Pentecostal Ministers Forum, whose life is a great blessing to many in the Christendom. In this chat with The Unique Model magazine, he described Eze Nwokedi as a reliable man whose root is in Christ. He also spoke about celebrating one’s culture and tradition without being fetish.

Why are you here in Eze (Dr.)C. C. Nwokedi ‘s Ofala celebration since most churches do not reckon with culture and tradition?
I have told them many times that tradition is older than religion and Christianity. I am a bona-fide son of Igbo land, and I strongly believe in tradition /culture without fetish practice on it. Like all you can see here, I know Igwe right from day one, his wife was a pastor in my church for almost seven years. Eze Nwokedi has been a very good friend; I know that the foundation of Eze Nwokedi is rooted in Christ. So, there is nothing fetish in it. He is a king, He is a king, I understand so, at times when I see people saying that they will abolish tradition, I see them as insane, it has nothing to do with heaven or hell. So far there is nothing fetish on it.
How do you describe Eze Nwokedi’s personality?
Eze Nwokedi has been a good friend for over 15-16 years, I know him as somebody when you call him, he will answer you, call him any time he answers and has the interest of Igbo people in his heart. Anything I am doing in my house /church anytime I invite him, he will come to grace the occasion. So we have to come today for his Ofala to also tell him that we appreciate all the good things he has been doing, that we have seen all he has been doing particularly in the Igbo Community. So, that is the reason we came to support him, encourage him, and to tell him that we are solidly behind him.
How do you feel about the conflict between the Igbos and the Yorubas after the 2023 elections?
Generally, I condemn it, I saw the way they treated Igbos online, they said Igbos should not come out to vote, I saw it online, and they actualized it. I condemned it, there is no how I can support such a thing, that makes somebody that created time went and registered for Permanent Voters Card, went to collect it, only to be disenfranchised. So, as a minister of God, and a citizen, I totally condemn it.
Generally, your prayer to many that are here today?
My prayer for many that came here with good hearts, is the good Lord who elevated Eze Nwokedi today will elevate them, I know Eze Nwokedi when he was nobody, I knew him when he was Chief Security Officer (CSO) to my good friend, Prophet Anene Nwachukwu, but today whom God has lifted God has lifted him. When you identify with success, success will come to you. The bible says, rejoice with those that rejoice, we all have come here today to rejoice with Nwokedi. So, as far as they came in peace, they will go in peace. Then when you come here with evil heart, the same evil will follow the person. My prayer is prayer for back to sender, if you pray good for Nwokedi, good will follow the person, the reverse is the prayer.
What is your advice to Eze Nwokedi?
My advice to him is that he should continue on the good things he has been doing, people are seeing his good works. Let him not derail from the standard he used from the begging. I strongly believe, so far, he never derailed, God will always be with him and no weapon fashioned against him by any enemy shall ever prosper because God is solidly behind him.
