“Cable business has been his core business and he has succeeded in making his name across the globe. We can see the evidence, attracting foreigners from Turkey, India, Ghana and others to attend today’s remarkable event. I thank God he started and completed his warehouse that attracted us here today,” Eze Ahize said.

2027 Politics: Endorsement for APC, Tinubu and Hamzat

When asked about the 2027 elections, Eze Ahize declared the position of Ndigbo in Lagos.

He affirmed support for a second term for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying “President Bola Tinubu’s good work will continue as he continues to lead Nigerians in his second term.”

On Lagos State, the royal father gave a strong endorsement to Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, urging Lagosians to vote massively for him.

“Deputy Governor Hamzat will do well if Lagos rallies to vote en masse for him, because Hamzat is part of the good governance we are enjoying in Lagos state today. So the best decision is for him to mount the position of leadership of Lagos State,” he said.

“As prominent leader of Ndigbo in Lagos state, I advocate for Ndigbo to come out en masse to vote for APC in all tiers of governance in 2027. Hamzat will lead us well in all ramifications,” Eze Ahize declared.

Call For Stronger Ndigbo-Yoruba Relations

Speaking on the relationship between Ndigbo and their host community, Eze Ahize commended the Yoruba for their accommodation.

“The successes Ndigbo are recording in Lagos state is because we have a good host community, Yoruba. Our children school in Lagos safely. Most of the great Igbo businessmen across the globe started from Lagos,” he stressed.

“We will continue to ensure that the relationship we have established with our host community continues to wax stronger in all ramifications,” the monarch concluded.

The event ended with prayers, cutting of tape, and inspection of the new Duras Kablo warehouse stocked with quality cables.
