Mayor Okeowo Assures Traditional Rulers of Open-Door Governance in Ifelodun LCDA

The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun Local Council Development Area, Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo, PhD, has been commended by traditional rulers for his open-door leadership and commitment to grassroots development.
The commendation came on Monday when the Lagos State Baales’ Forum, Badagry Division paid him a courtesy visit and declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat ahead of 2027.
The Baales’ Forum said it was confident in the continuity of purposeful leadership at federal and state levels under Tinubu and Hamzat, and pledged to mobilize at the grassroots for APC’s victory.
Receiving the delegation, Mayor Okeowo expressed appreciation for their solidarity. He described the traditional institution as critical partners in governance.
“The Chieftaincy Council has enjoyed a cordial working relationship with this administration. My door remains open. You should always feel free to approach the council whenever the need for support arises,” Okeowo said.
The Chairman assured that Ifelodun LCDA will continue to partner with traditional rulers to ensure peace, security, and development across communities.
Conclusively, political observers note that Mayor Okeowo’s inclusive approach to governance and his strong alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda continue to endear him to stakeholders across Ifelodun LCDA and Lagos State.
