Greatness is celebrated in many ways, but  Eze Monday Lawrence Obijogu JP, Ezedioranma 1, Eze Ndigbo of Mushin / Odi-Olowo Community and Babaloja of Ladipo Market, is enjoying his celebration while he reigns. In less than six years on the throne, his legacies are already shining brightly in Mushin, Ladipo Market and beyond — from traders he raised from grass to grace to become millionaires and successful businessmen abroad, to widows, orphans and the less privileged whose tears he has wiped. Yet, the amiable monarch says he is just starting and remains energized to do more.

On Saturday, 12th September 2026, history was made in his palace. It was a remarkable day of honour, solidarity and thanksgiving as admirers and beneficiaries traced their way to his palace to pay homage and affirm their loyalty. With one voice they declared: “We are part of your palace. God will continue to bless you with wisdom and long life.”

True to his nature, Eze Monday Lawrence, a leader known for his large heart and uncommon hospitality, accommodated everyone, treated them royally and blessed them. Those who paid homage include: Peaceful Co-Existence Initiative (NGO), Obuzor Anioma / Njiko Anioma Socio-Cultural Organization, and Ada Igbo Lagos State.

PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE INITIATIVE DECLARES: EZE MONDAY IS A TRANSFORMER

Leader of the delegation, High Chief Mrs. Gloria C. Amaizu, Ada Igbo Mushin Ajina LGA, Nwanyi Chi Na Aluru Ogu, Nne Ndigbo Ji Ejemba Gburu Gburu Worldwide and Madam Original of the Universe. Founder of Peaceful Co-Existence Initiative of Nigeria (19 years old), said her NGO promotes peace in families, organizes seminars for women of various ethnic groups and supports widows. She acknowledged supporters like Senator Olarenwaju Solomon, Hon. Emmanuel Bamigboye, Hon. Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe and Hon. Akinsoye.

On Eze Monday she said: “He has contributed immensely to changing the lives of many people in Ladipo Market. Some are now millionaires and successful abroad. He has not stayed up to six years as Eze but he has done a lot of transformation that puts smiles on faces. He is a visionary leader.”

OBUZOR ANIOMA THUNDERS: EZE MONDAY HEARS THE CRY OF HIS PEOPLE

Chief Chuks Smith, Obuzor Ndi Anioma, PG of Njiko Anioma in Diaspora and VP Ohanaeze Ndigbo Lagos, said: “We came to appreciate him because of his kindness to Anioma people. He is a great leader and philanthropist per excellence. If you treat an Igbo man or woman badly, you are in trouble with Eze Monday.”

He also invited Eze to their OSE ANI FOOD COMPETITION on 25th October 2026 at Catholic Hall, Ogudu-Ojota GRA, Lagos — a cultural event to project Anioma heritage.”

Eze Monday is an honest man of integrity with fear of God. He hears the cry of his brother and comes to rescue. He caters for orphans, widows and less privileged irrespective of tribe. He is one of the Ezes that has class and a good listener,” he added.

ADA IGBO LAGOS DECLARES: EZE MONDAY HAS CAPACITY TO LEAD

Chief Mrs. Vera Osuagwu, President Ada Igbo Lagos and Ugo Eji Ejemba 1 of Mbaise, said: “I came because I have seen his capacity and he can fight for the just. We count him among Ezes with dignity in Lagos. We are part of his cabinet. He accommodated all of us today, treated us well and gave us transport money. I give him kudos.”

EZE MONDAY LAWRENCE RESPONDS: Responding to the homage, the elated monarch told The Unique Model Magazine:

“I am very excited and humbled. Upon all the Ezes we have in Lagos, these groups came to my palace to pay homage to me. It shows that people are observing what I do outside the palace.

It is good to help people from your mind without expecting anything in return. That has been my lifestyle. My father advised me that if you want to rule people well, you must love them, help them and treat them fairly. God will reward you and men will also reward you.

Today, I am encouraged to continue this lifestyle. I thank all of them for coming and I pray that God will bless them.”

Conclusively, from Ladipo Market where he built traders from nothing to millionaires, to Mushin / Odi-Olowo where his palace has become a refuge for the needy, Eze Monday Lawrence has redefined royalty as service.

The homage of 12th September was more than a visit — it was a vote of confidence that his legacies shine while he lives, and he is energized to do more.
